Hello again. The 2016 chase starts on Sat 21st May and lasts 12 days, with the return flight from Dallas booked for Thurs 2nd June. Usual rules apply – drive around for thousands of miles in search of the greatest spectacles Mother Nature can offer – storms, lightning, hail and who knows, maybe a tornado or two.
Some changes this year. Firstly, I’m not alone! My youngest daughter Zoe is on the chase, with the job of navigating, chart reading, and generally trying to stay cool whilst I scream obscenities. Secondly, we have some extra kit on board in the shape of a GSM mifi repeater which in theory will give us a good clean signal even in areas of next to no dB, which in turn should keep data running and allow us to stream live during the business end of the day.
